This Bird Pendant Necklace is Stunning! If you love birds – especially the royal looking falcons – you will love the divine HARU handmade bird pendant necklace. The unique necklace features a batik tan and white circular bone pendant with the silhouette of a falcon, a falcon that is very similar to the ancient Egyptian “Haru” symbols. Ridged long ovals of earthy ocean jasper in a variety of colors perfectly complement this piece. The gemstones are separated by copper colored freshwater pearls and sterling silver. Just imagine a loved one who is a birder wearing this symbolic necklace . . . or even yourself! The HARU necklace was carefully designed and handmade by Catherine of Shadow Dog Designs for the woman who loves to wear one of a kind, artisan jewelry.

Catherine Waterhouse – Owner/Designer
Experiencing a life long love affair with Nature (am a self-professed “nature geek”), I am able to satisfy a strong desire to create by designing one-of-a-kind jewelry mainly using semi-precious stones and sterling or fine silver. But polymer clay, Czech glass, Swarovski crystals, copper and lampwork beads also play a huge part in the design process. My Muse is Nature, and to be inspired, I just have to look out over the amazing desert landscape where my husband, my Shadow Dog, Seamus, and I are privileged to live. My work has been sold through galleries in Virginia, Texas and South Carolina, through art shows, home shows, Facebook, Pinterest, Wanelo, Flickr and ArtFire . . . and now Indiemade. I LOVE my “job!”
I am an ardent supporter of adopting dogs from shelters. To help the many sweeties waiting for their forever homes, I have started a line of “dog rescue” jewelry. For each piece sold, 1/2 of the purchase price is donated to the local Humane Society. I am thrilled and humbled that the earrings are brisk sellers both on line and at the arts festivals I attend.
